Courses and resources that explore workshop practice and beyond

School of Workshop is for artists, creators and facilitators to refresh, renew and re-invent their practice.

There are courses and laboratories for both emerging and experienced practitioners.

There are three masks:

The one we think we are,

The one we really are,

And the one we have in common.

Jacques le Coq – The Moving Body

School of Workshop is based on these premises:

  • Workshop is a distinctive form of collective and creative practice.
  • Every workshop tells a unique story told then and there by those people.
  • Workshop is a Pedagogy of Not-Knowing.
  • There is a lack of imaginative developmental support for workshop artists and facilitators.
  • The best way for workshoppers to expand their practice is through workshop.

It is also based on a beautiful site in Devon with residential facilities.

Workshop is making something that has never existed before, whether it is bringing together existing elements in new ways or whether it is something completely original. It is absolutely not being in the same place as you were when you walked in the room.
